Soft beeps of a heart beating
holding on
to precious moments
Laying still
breathing hard
Pain
moans of fear
She waits
Cold & frightened
I hold her hand &
Wait for her to wake
I wish to take away
the hurt
Try to tell her words of
sweet comfort
