It's taken me a long time
to come to terms
with the peace of me,
to see myself,
to believe in the intricacies
of my personality
that give me a value
beyond a price,
to find comfort
in my own skin,
to know myself well
and not run from her,
to leave the whispers
of doubt in the wind.
